​There’s no shortage of beautiful views on the Terrace: Progress Point to the right, Picnic Point to the left, and, on certain summer nights, a blockbuster film in the center of it all. Started in 1978 as the Starlight Cinema, outdoor movies have long been a lakeside tradition. Each year, the Wisconsin Union Directorate’s film committee entertains Terrace-goers with a themed movie series. During the summer of 2016, 20 films were shown. Some diehard cinephiles stake out a spot on the Terrace starting midday, but others trickle in later, content just to listen. Either way, it’s a night well spent on the Terrace with a couple hundred of your closest friends.
